Research Interest
I am studying the relationship between insect herbivory and
primary succession on Mt. St. Helen's 'Pumice Plain.' Specifically,
I am examining how spatial variation in herbivory by a curculionid
weevil affects the pace and pattern of Sitka willow recolonization.
I am also interested in the indirect effect of weevil herbivory
on the local vertebrate community during succession.
